I want to take the time to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving and to remind everyone that our November General Meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 26 at 7 p.m. at Nonna Bella’s Restaurant.

Our Guest Speaker will be Gina Slater Parker, President and CEO of Long Island Development Corporation and Long Island Small Business Assistance Corporation.  The Long Island Development Corporation is a 501C-3 family of non-profit economic development organizations which provides low cost loans, free technical assistance and seminars to small businesses, non-for-profits and others in Nassau and Suffolk County.  Owning a small business in today’s environment this is one meeting you should put some time aside and attend.

I would also like to remind everyone that the Chamber is hosting Project Toy in conjunction with the Family Services League.  Please help children make memories this holiday.  Please donate new unwrapped toys (infant to teens) to the stores of the following members: North Babylon Wine & Spirits, Nonna Bella’s, Mangia’s, North Babylon Deli, Buffalo Wild Wings, Wally’s Bagels, Casa de Campo, Teachers Federal, Bethpage Federal, and Gracie Barra Jit-Jitu.  The donations will be accepted up until December 14.  I wish to thank member Christine Malafi of Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, LLP for chairing this event.

As time moves on the Christmas Holiday’s will be here shortly.  With this is mind, the North Babylon Chamber is hosting its 4Th Annual Window Display Contest that is open to every business.  The windows will be judged by December 8th.  Each year it seems that the businesses exceed their displays from the previous year.

Further, the Chamber’s Holiday Party will be held on Monday, December 10th at the North Babylon Wines and Spirits starting at 7 p.m.  There will be refreshments, lite food and various raffles to be won.  So, please set the time aside and join us on the 10th.  A great night of Networking in a relaxed atmosphere.  Remember, our meetings are always open to the public, everyone is welcomed.
