Message From the President

New Year’s Eve and all is well.  I am wishing everyone a happy and very successful 2019.  The Chamber is about to enter our fifth year and as always, we are looking to both support our business membership and to help them succeed.  There are a number of items the Board will meet and discuss for 2019 and we hope to get off to a successful start.

We are proud to announce that Diane De Luca (Treasurer) and Diana Simulcik (Member) have recently been selected to receive recognition at this year’s 30th Annual Women’s History Month Program, which will be held at the Walter G. O’Connell High School on Monday, March 25, 2019.  The Town, in part were looking for women who have made both notable and perhaps “unnoticed” contributions to the Town of Babylon.  If you know either Diane or Diana you will know that both have over the years contributed to community activities, help in so many ways.  The both are very deserving to be recognized for giving to their community in so many ways, for so many years.

Once again Kudos goes out to Christine Malafi of Campolo, Middleton & Mc Cormick, LLP on spear heading the Chamber’s first Toy Drive.  The Chamber, thanks to Christine did a great job in collecting and distributing the toys, which put a smile on the face of many children.

In closing, I am hoping to see our members at our Monthly General Meeting, which is on Monday, January 28 at Nonna Bella Restaurant at 7 p.m.   At this meeting we will also honor the winners of our Annual Window Display. This year our winners are Mangia’s Restaurant who won the Brilliant Award, the Amazing Award will be present to NON-MEMBER Performax which recently opened its Physically Therapy office on Bay Shore Road and Pizzaiola which captured the Sparkling Award.    Congratulations to the winners on bring additional Holiday Spirit to North Babylon.

Yours in Business,

Garrett P. Simulcik, Sr.
