Our September General Meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 26 at Mangia Pizza & Italian Restaurant, located at 785 Deer Park Avenue, North Babylon. Networking hour will start at 6 p.m. and the General Meeting will start at 7 p.m. Our Membership Speaker will be Garrett Simulcik of Cruise Planners speaking on the Top Ten Reasons to use a Travel Consultant.

I would like to make mention of several new members to the Chamber since we last met. We have Tina Loffredo from Century 21 of North Babylon. We also have an area resident John Beck and Master Clinton Oh of the Champions Taekwondo of North Babylon. Welcome aboard and I hope that you will utilize the great features of our Chamber and make it worth your while.
As everyone should be aware, the North Babylon Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its First Annual Fall Festival, to be held on Sunday, October 9. Many of our members along with other businesses have been signing on. I would like to thank those members who have in many ways contributed to getting us to this point. I would personally like to thank Rich Irizarry for all he has done to make this event a successful one. His knowledge, experience and his never tiring energy has really put this event together which I know will continue to grow and prove more successful in the years to come. Kudos to you Rich.

Also, I am once again reminding our membership if they wish to participate in the “Welcome to North Babylon” bags that the Chamber will distribute to new residents and businesses that come into North Babylon. Here is an opportunity for all members to conveniently advertise your business to new area residents at NO COST. Other items that will go into these bags are the Town Calendar, Town Palm Cards (showing important telephone numbers, etc.). If you do not have advertising material ready at this time just notify Diana Simulcik who is our Chairperson on this event. Items can be added as we go.

Along the same path, you should have also received a letter regarding Map Toons who will shortly be stopping by your business to fully discuss the Map Toons product and how they have Partnership with the Chamber. The completed map should be completed sometime early in 2017 and in addition to each business getting these maps the Chamber will also include them in the “Welcome to North Babylon” bags.

Please plan on joining us at this month’s meeting to learn more from Richard Irizarry and Terence Mc Sweeney about our Chamber’s First Fall Festival which again is scheduled for Sunday, October 9. Rides will be offered to children, food and vendors will be on hand. Members who would like to market their businesses will be offered at a discounted rate. If you have not already signed up for a spot please let us know immediately.

Yours in Business,

Chamber President, Garrett Simulcik
