Our October General Meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 24 at Applebee’s in North Babylon. Networking hour will start at 6 p.m. with General Meeting starting at 7 p.m. Our Membership Speaker will be Paul Della Universita of All State Insurance.

The North Babylon Chamber of Commerce hosted its First Annual Fall Festival on Sunday, October 9. Unfortunately there was a storm named Matthew that did not cooperate. However, it did not deter getting the Festival off the ground. Many of our members along with other businesses opened their tents however, the weather kept the crowds away. I would like to thank all those members who showed up and gave off their time in cold and rainy weather. May of us thought had the weather been with us, this would have been a very successful Festival. So much so, I would have to say we will try again.

The “Welcome to North Babylon” bags were introduced at the Festival. Those individuals who received them really liked them and thought it was a great idea for the Chamber to promote its members. If for what ever reason any member that did not submit items to be placed in the bag please let us know whenever you have them available. The disbursements of these bags will be an ongoing project welcoming new residents and businesses into North Babylon. Again, it is opportunity for all members to conveniently advertise your business to new area residents at NO COST.

In addition to Paul being our Guest Speaker, Doug Snider of Map Toons is scheduled to speak and update the membership on his progress of going around the Babylon area seeking not only to sell his products but to boost enrollment in the Chamber. The map should be completed sometime early in 2017 and will be scheduled to be distributed to everyone in North Babylon.

Keep in mind that at each meeting is a sign up sheet for any member to select a month to be a Guest Member Speaker and let our membership know more about what you do.
